June 18, 1994 the match between Colombia and Romania was the first game for either side in the group phase at the Rose Bowl, Pasadena. Romania went 2-0 up after 34 minutes but two minutes before half time, Valencia pulled one back for Colombia. The result remained in doubt until the final minute when Raducioiu scored his second. Colombia national team kits was supply by Umbro with the same design as the home shirt with the blue shirts for away matches.
